مستــوى الــذکــاءات المتعــددة لــدى عينــة من الأطفال ذوي اضطراب طيف التوحد في مدينة جدة Level of Multiple Intelligences in a Sample of Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder in the City of Jeddah

هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى الکشف عن مستوى الذکاءات المتعددة لدى عينة من الأطفال ذوي اضطراب طيف التوحد في مدينة جدة، وذلک بتطبيق مقياس الذکاءات المتعددة للأطفال ذوي اضطراب طيف التوحد في ضوء نظرية جاردنر للذکاءات المتعددة( إعداد الباحثتان)، على عينة مکونة من (151) طفلاً وطفلة من ذوي اضطراب طيف التوحد وممن تتراوح أعمارهم ما بين (3-14)عاماً والملتحقين بمعاهد وبرامج الدمج الحکومية والأهلية والمراکز الخاصة بمدينة جدة، واعتمدت الدراسة على المنهج الوصفي المسحي؛ وأظهرت النتائج مستوى مرتفع للذکاء البصري/ المکاني ومستويات منخفضة للذکاءات (الطبيعي– الشخصي/ الذاتي –اللغوي/ اللفظي- الاجتماعي) لدى الأطفال ذوي اضطراب طيف التوحد؛ وفي ضوء ما أسفرت عنه نتائج الدراسة توصي الباحثتان بأهمية الکشف عن الذکاءات المتعددة لدى الأطفال ذوي اضطراب طيف التوحد وتنميتها باستخدام طرق وأساليب تدريس مختلفة وتضمينها في البرنامج التربوي الفردي في ضوء هذه النظرية، لتلائم بشکل أفضل حاجاتهم وخصائصهم المختلفة والتي تساهم بشکل فعال في تعلمهم لمختلف المهارات الأکاديمية والحياتية وفي تطوير قدراتهم وإمکاناتهم.
The current study aimed to identify the level of multiple intelligences in a sample of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in the city of jeddah. Using the multiple Intelligence Scale for ASD children in view of Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences (developed by the researchers), on a sample consisting of (151) ASD children from both genders in the age range of (3-14) years who were enrolled in governmental and private integrated institutes, programs and centers in Jeddah. The study used the survey descriptive approach. The results showed a high level of visual/spatial intelligence and low levels of (natural-personal/self-linguistic/verbal-social) intelligence in ASD children.
In light of the findings of the current study, the researchers recommend highlighted the importance of the examining and developing the multiple intelligences among ASD children using different teaching methods and techniques and including them in the individualized educational program. This will contribute to meeting their different needs and characteristics in a more effective way, thus enhancing their learning of various academic and life skills in addition to the development of their abilities and potentials.
