تقدم هذه الورقة دراسة تحليلية لأصول وتطور التربية الخاصة في المملكة العربية السعودية، في ضوء جهود وزارة التعليم، لمعرفة وفهم أصول التربية الخاصة في المملكة والأساس الذي قامت عليه، ومن خلال تتبع ما مرت به من تطورات وذكر تاريخها الهجري والميلادي، وذلك من منظور تعليمي ممثل في دور وزارة التعليم، على اعتبار أنها الجهة المعنية بتقديم خدمات التربية الخاصة في المملكة، وأكسبنا ذلك النظرة النقدية العلمية الفاحصة التي تمكنا من خلالها الفهم العميق لأصول التربية الخاصة وفحص الواقع الحاضر، وأن نشهد جميع التطورات في الممارسات الحالية للتربية الخاصة، وساعدنا على التنبؤ، ومعرفة اتجاه مستقبل المجال وهو ما توصلنا إليه من خلال هذه الورقة أن مستقبل التربية الخاصة في المملكة العربية السعودية في القطاع التعليمي يتجه نحو التعليم الشامل.
This paper presents an analytical study of the origins and development of special education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in light of the efforts of the Ministry of Education, to know and understand the origins of special education in the Kingdom and the basis on which it was founded, and by tracking the developments it has undergone and mentioning its Hijri and Gregorian dates, This perspective provides a critical and scientific examination, enabling a deep understanding of the origins of special education, a review of the current situation, and observation of all developments in current special education practices. Furthermore, it assists in predicting and understanding the future direction of the field. The paper concludes that the future of special education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia within the educational sector is moving towards inclusive education.
